Chermside Day Hospital is a stand alone Day Surgical facility in Brisbane, and enjoys a reputation as one of the regions leading surgical facilities of its type. Approximately 8000 patients will undergo a procedure or surgery at the hospital this year, and many more will visit to see a visiting Doctor or specialist Nurse.
Chermside Day Hospital enjoys specialised, purpose built facilities and high quality equipment, and is self sufficient. Facilities include state-of-the-art operating theatre and endoscopic procedure rooms, a spacious Post Anaesthesia Care Unit, comfortable Second Stage recovery room and well appointed consulting suites. The hospital also features a self contained Sterile Production Centre and endoscope processing service.
The hospital is situated in a great location, with other health services co-located in the complex, and the complex itself situated centrally in the bustling Chermside commercial precinct.
The leadership at the hospital believes that in selecting and training their own nursing and clerical staff, choosing their preferred equipment and developing their own clinical pathways has advantages for patient outcomes and referring doctors.
There is ample free parking available at the rear of the Complex and in the basement. Lift access is available to all levels from the underground car park. Located on a major bus route, the Chermside complex is near the bus terminus at Westfield Shopping Centre with controlled pedestrian access from Banfield Street and Hamilton Road.
